Dr. Heng Tang is a Obstetrician & Gynaecologist, He delivers baby at both Greenslopes and Sunnybank Private Hospital. He also has operating theatre sessions at both hospital. His consultation room is at Greenslopes Private Hospital.

Dr. Tang obtained his MBBS at the University of Queensland in 1994, and completed his internship at the Royal Brisbane Hospital in 1995. He received his DRANCOG at the Redcliffe Hospital and decided to pursue O&G as a career in 2000. He was trained at Mater Mother’s, Redland, Logan and Nambour Hospital and received his FRANZCOG in March 2007.

Dr. Tang has been working as a full time staff specialist at the Logan hospital for 2 years before moving to the Mater Mother’s Hospital in January 2009. Heng started his private practice at the Sunnybank Private Hospital in November 2009, sharing the consultation room with Dr. Brad Armstrong.

Dr. Tang has extensive exposure and experience in the management of normal and high risk pregnancy. He believes in a women-centred antenatal and peripartum care with close midwifery collaboration. He also has special interest in minimal invasive, urinary incontinence and pelvic floor reconstructive surgery. He performs total laparoscopic hysterectomy, and used to run the urodynamics clinic at the Logan Hospital. He is also affiliated with the City Fertility Centre and offers consultation for infertility and  IVF service.

As a Senior Lecturer for the Medical Schools of both Griffith University and the University of Queensland, and a training supervisor and examinar for DRANZCOG. He makes sure that he is always kept up to date with the latest development in his field. He is also multilingual and can converse in Malay, Mandarin, Cantonese and Hakka fluently.

Dr Heng Tang is an Obstetrician & Gynaecologist who operates at both Greenslopes Private Hospital and Sunnybank Private Hospital in Brisbane (Dr Tang only does gynaecology and IVF procedures at the Sunnybank Private Hospital), with consulting rooms at Greenslopes Obstetrics & Gynaecology which are located in the Greenslopes Private Hospital precinct.

Dr. Tang has a rostered on-call arrangement for weekends with 3 and 5 other reputable and experienced private obstetricians at Sunnybank Private hospital and Greenslopes Hospital respectively. This arrangement allows for better on-call management for patients, as well as allowing Heng to commit more time for the other aspects of patient care.

Dr. Heng Tang is an experienced obstetrician with a busy private practice located at the Greenslopes Private Hospital. He is also a skilled gynaecologist surgeon with special interest in minimal invasive, urinary incontinence and pelvic floor reconstructive surgeries. He has admitting rights and operating theatre sessions at both Greenslopes and Sunnybank Private Hospital.

Dr Tang also has a rostered on-call arrangement for weekends with other reputable and experienced private obstetricians at both Greenslopes and Sunnybank Private hospital. This arrangement allows for better on-call management for patients, as well as allowing Heng to commit more time for the other aspects of patient care.

Dr Tang will still cover his own patients on many weekends regardless of this roster, however if he is not available on a particular weekend when he is out of town, the roster will show the covering Obstetrician.

Dr. Tang is also a very skilled gynaecologist surgeon with special interest in minimal invasive, urinary incontinence and pelvic floor reconstructive surgery. He his admission rights and operating theatre session at both Sunnybank and Greenslopes Hospital.

Self-Insured Patients

All services are have a Medicare rebate element that cover a portion of the full fee. There would also be fees applicable for a hospital stay, anaesthetic services (if required). Quotations for these can be arranged.

Other Specialist Services

Pathology Services

  • Tests at the private laboratory may incur a gap fees.

Anaesthetic services

  • If these are required (if required) may incur an out of pocket expense depending on the anaesthetist on call.
